Connect to Work

Connect to Work is a free, voluntary programme that helps people with disabilities, health conditions, or other challenges find and keep a job.

We use the Supported Employment Place, Train and Maintain approach and offer:

  • Personalised support – one-to-one help based on your needs.
  • In-work support – help to stay in your job.
  • Employer partnerships – working closely with businesses.
  • Long-term success – ongoing support for you and your employer.

Who can join?

Connect to Work is for anyone who:

  • Is 18 or older
  • Lives in Barking and Dagenham
  • Wants to work (including self-employment)

AND EITHER

Is unemployed or at risk of losing their job because of health, disability, or other challenges

OR

Faces multiple barriers to work, such as:

    • Ex-offenders
    • Carers or former carers
    • Homeless or previously homeless
    • Veterans or Armed Forces families
    • People with drug/alcohol dependency history
    • Care leavers or care-experienced young people
    • Refugees or those on resettlement schemes
    • Survivors of domestic abuse
    • Young people at risk of serious violence
