Connect to Work
Connect to Work is a free, voluntary programme that helps people with disabilities, health conditions, or other challenges find and keep a job.
We use the Supported Employment Place, Train and Maintain approach and offer:
- Personalised support – one-to-one help based on your needs.
- In-work support – help to stay in your job.
- Employer partnerships – working closely with businesses.
- Long-term success – ongoing support for you and your employer.
Who can join?
Connect to Work is for anyone who:
- Is 18 or older
- Lives in Barking and Dagenham
- Wants to work (including self-employment)
AND EITHER
Is unemployed or at risk of losing their job because of health, disability, or other challenges
OR
Faces multiple barriers to work, such as:
- Ex-offenders
- Carers or former carers
- Homeless or previously homeless
- Veterans or Armed Forces families
- People with drug/alcohol dependency history
- Care leavers or care-experienced young people
- Refugees or those on resettlement schemes
- Survivors of domestic abuse
- Young people at risk of serious violence
